Day 15: Getting frustrated

Last night I felt almost completely better and I was really excited about our new schedule and jumping right back into everything. However in the evening something went wrong with my stomach. It's been gurgling and twisting and I can't stop making bathroom runs. I have no appetite either and though I woke up at 5:30AM gearing up for the hike this morning, the thought of being somewhere without any access to the bathroom deterred me.

So I decided to go to the gym but right before I left I had to make another bathroom run. (sorry to be so graphic) The thought of moving, much less jumping up or down was making my stomach react badly so I think today may have to be another day of rest for me. My new roomie (yup, they keep switching roomies around on me even though my last roomie is still here) was very nice and offered me some Immodium AD. I don't really feel like eating so I'm just going to keep myself hydrated today and stay close to the bathroom.

I've been lucky with my last two roomies, they both have been very sweet. What's even better about my new roomie is that she loves to read like me (She has one of those Sony Reader/Amazon Kindle things that I want soooo badly!!) and she says that compared to her husband, my snoring is nothing and she slept easy. Just in case, I also provided her with a fresh pair of new earplugs but luckily she doesn't need them! Whew! She's also ok with my baby nightlight. (Yes yes yes, I have a nightlight. The shame! It's a Tinkerbell one too. :P)She seems very nice and I really think we'll get along.

So I did learn something today that I can share with my blog readers. Here's a new tip:

* If you plan on missing any classes here, call the front desk to let the appropriate channels know. This way, you can rest without anyone calling you to see why you're not in class. Also, if you want to stay in your room for the day, let them know and they can bring your meals to your room for you.

I'm really disappointed in my body today and I'm so worried that I'm going to start to lose out on any of the fitness I've gained since I've been here. As long as I'm ok tomorrow, I'm going to throw myself back into everything with a vengeance. I'm going to make certain that I'm going to leave FR a few pounds lighter and in shape. I swear!!

Alright, I'm going to crawl back into my soft bed now. Please send my belly good vibes.

  1. Awww, get plenty of rest and drink lots of water. It will help cleanse the system. :(
